With the passing of Toby Keith many memories of his storied music career comes to mind. One of those memories is how he embraced military families and welcomed them onstage.
Those special moments where he orchestrated the reunion of military spouse with his or her family is one that touches the heart. His dedication to entertaining the Troops overseas is a personification of his enthusiasm.
Personally I found him an inspiration musically many years ago when I was much younger. His strong powerful of a bravado voice offered me something to work towards with my own.
I can't just nail down one particular song of his as my all time favorite. I love each and everyone of his masterful works.
A Legend in his own right, he will be grievously missed.
