Spiritual Warfare; What is it?
It’s the fight against spiritual forces of evil that intervene and intrude upon the human experience that desires the goodness, grace, and mercy of God. It’s when people with the Truth attempt to spread it are attacked spiritually and that causes them to become ill of the body that hampers them. Evil uses many things. The predominant forces of evil that are used with the human realm are FEAR and DOUBT between two living souls. From relationships, to family relations, to community relations; the slightest of weakness of the human experiences and the mental and spiritual acuity is used against us all. There is not one person living that can state they are in fact the strongest of us all.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Many adore The Full Armor of God but don’t realize how to utilize it all as one. Many don’t have a full grasp of “The Other Side” of this reality. That reality is of Lucifer Satan the devil, and all his demon agents.
We must come together to learn properly how to use the armor that we’ve been given as believers. We must show non-believers the real reality of things through our own spiritual battles. A testimony can be powerful enough to sway others who are being led down the wrong path in life.
PSALM 91 speaks on who the evil one is. The fowler is Lucifer Satan the devil. Chapter 91 speaks of the destruction of that evil and it is a prayer for that destruction.
When Jesus was tempted directly by Lucifer himself that took fortitude beyond mankind’s comprehension can ever bare mentally and spiritually. That shows how cunning he really is. He thought that he could snooker God in the flesh. If he, Lucifer was that bold and strong to do that; what makes us as mankind to think, and believe that we can withstand any of that? We are weak in mind, heart, and soul, and body.
Matthew 4:1-11 & Luke 4:1-13 KJV
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Jesus - Yeshua is not only our refuge but our greatest example of how to deal with evil. When we are weak, we should rely only on him and him be the first that we call upon. Some of us want to call upon another fellow human being and that is good and all. However, we forget our real 911 Emergency Number. Calling upon Him is not showing weakness, it shows ultimate strength. Admitting that we are weak crushes what ego we have. Don’t be afraid to admit that you are weak.
AUTHORITY TO DEAL WITH DEMONS
Authority to deal with demons does not mean carte blanche do as you want. When dealing with that realm, that reality there are RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. Violating those rules has serious consequences, repercussions, and backlash.
Dr. Gregory Reid of YouthFire Ministries states Is there a place for demonized people to get free? Absolutely, yes. It is in the church. Unfortunately, 99% of believers are too terrified of the demonic to do their job, and thus, God has raised up those who are willing. It becomes specialized when it is something we should all be willing to handle if the need arises. “In My Name you shall cast out devils.” (Mark 16:17).
Dr. Reid goes on to state: Sometimes demons are sent to be manifest to create fear, chaos and confusion. Do not let them set the battle. Each situation is different and requires a well-discerned action.
Fear and Confusion attacks are the mental side of spiritual warfare. The mind is the weakest window. If the mind is in dread of things then the heart suffers through the chaos.
Know your authority. “You” do not cast out the demons. It is JESUS IN YOU.
A few additional points: – Do not fear either the devil or the demonic
Now I do disagree out of respect this statement: You must know but as little as you can withstand. Going head-long into any situation is very risky. Be prayed up and read up in Scripture to know how to handle yourselves, not the issue of the demonic. Let Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit handle that end. [Statement of disagreement] I however am in full support of the rest in his position and written article.
IN order to proceed in Spiritual Warfare and Knowing all about it you first must…
The following comes form The Great Bible Study : The basics of a deliverance
Know who you are in Christ
For one, we must understand what Christ has done for us, and where we stand. If we are believers in Christ Jesus, then we are seated with Him in heavenly places (Eph 2:6).
Secondly, Understanding what Jesus did for us
Jesus shed His blood to set us free from the “curse of the law.” Therefore, if we have picked up any curses (from our actions, our family bloodline, etc.), we can be freed from them! It is important to understand that Jesus has paid the price for our complete (spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, etc.) freedom! If you don’t believe it, it’s hard to claim it.
Right here in the middle of all of this, I highly advise extreme caution until you fully understand all of this. If you are not ready, please continue to pray up and read up on Scriptures. Do not attempt to engage. If you experience anything relative pray and keep prayed up. If you are in the presence of anyone that is displaying demonic possession engage in prayer to protect yourself. Only those who are experienced in Deliverance and Ordination of God through the Holy Spirit should engaged.
We cannot defeat Satan in our own flesh. It can only be done through Jesus we can.
Prayer is our greatest weapon: Here are some examples of those prayers.
Prayer for Protection of Home and Family
God, when I look upon the state of this world, I often feel fear, especially for those in my family. I ask that you protect the members of my family and my household. Help them to feel that home is a safe place where we can enjoy your word freely and worship you. Amen
For Divine Protection
Dear Father, thank You for Your divine protection and the support that upholds us from the inside out. Please keep your commandments in my mind. Give me the discernment to see temptation for what it is. Give me the wisdom and humility to allow You to move in me so that I’ll take the way of escape You have already provided. Amen. – Pete Briscoe
In the Workplace
Abba, Father, I ask for your protection in the workplace. At times it can feel as though I am the only believer here. And often I do not feel safe expressing my faith and beliefs here. Please keep me safe as I work diligently and to the best of my ability for you. Amen.
Prayer for Protection from Evil
My Savior and Lord, it would be folly to think that Satan does not prowl like a roaring lion, seeking to devour. He will do whatever he can to prevent your saints from spreading the Gospel. I pray for your protection from the Evil One now. Remind me that you are more powerful than he and that you will set everything right at the end. Amen.
Safety of a Loved One
Precious Jesus, I pray that you keep my loved one safe, at home, in the workplace, and while a great distance away. Help me to aid them in feeling safe while I can. I know that things can often be outside of my control, so I ask that you protect them when I fail to be able to do so. Keep them safe. Amen.
Prayer for Protection for a Friend
Heavenly Father, I lift up to you my friend who is in need of protection. Give them the safety that I cannot, whether due to distance or other factors. Let them be aware of your love and peace as they enter dangerous situations or environments. Amen.
